Get GCSE Maths Help And Don't Become A Bad Mathematics Joke

By Luke Redding

Bad math's jokes, like physics jokes are found all over the place, get GCSE maths help if you don't one to end up being a joke. Like the teacher who asked the pupil "what's 7 times 6" and he replied "42", then she said "ok, good, now what's 6 time 7?" and he replied "24!"

In the last decade in the UK girls marks have been surpassing those of boys in GCSE math's exams. But now the education department is set to drop coursework and as this is apparently the reason for the better marks, things are expected to change. Where coursework has already been dropped, boys are already doing substantially better than girls in mathematics exams.

Next year, coursework is to be dropped from the curriculum country-wide, and this means that girls are going to have a tough job on their hands. Records results have already been achieved by this change, and girls may be in a position where they are going to need help to surpass the boys again, or at least keep up with them.

Instead of coursework, "controlled assessment" is being introduced. The dividing factor is that girls are more organized and they work consistently but boys are lazier and they prefer to study like mad just before an exam comes up. As apposed to coursework, controlled assessment is extended tasks which are undertaken in an exam setting. If you are wondering why coursework is being replaced, it is because of concerns regarding plagiarism. The changes are set to make significant impacts on the gender gap in education and it is even thought that girls will have an unfair disadvantage.

Essentially soft skills are organizational skills such as planning and meeting deadlines. Boy don't do well in this area, they prefer to cram madly before and exam, whereas girls work consistently, and extra marks can be obtained for this. Notably, this year is the first since 1997, where boys have done better than their female counterparts in GCSE math's.
