WWE Executive To Invest Into The UFC

By Connor Smith

Current WWE executive, and Vice President Shane McMahon, who will leave the company at the beginning of January, is looking into the possibility of buying a financial interest within the UFC, and has cashed out $50 of his $80 million dollars in WWE stock to do so.

UFC President Dana White has always said that he would be willing to let someone take a 'piece of the pie' in his billion dollar empire, and while it may seem unorthodox, Shane McMahon would be the perfect partner. It is reported that Shane and the UFC President have already had meetings, and Shane was also present in the crowd at UFC 91.

It is well documented that UFC are now overtaking the WWE in PPV sales, but whereas WWE has had a 10 year head start on the UFC, Shane believes it will never reach the heights that it did in the early'90's, and the UFC's merchandise sales are still suffering. This is where McMahon comes in.

He is well known for securing large international business deals, something the UFC has been trying to do for two years, and during the UFC Fight Club last week in Vegas, Dana White declined to discuss anything that was said in the meeting with McMahon, just citing him as "a good friend" and "you never know."

I know what you are thinking "this sounds a bit weird with the WWE Shane McMahon buying into the UFC" but all in all this could be an excellent peace of business for the UFC. Shane McMachon has a wealth of business knowledge that can only enhance the UFC image worldwide. The only downside is when people think of Shane McMahon they think of the WWE which can't be good for the UFC. As we all know WWE is completely unreal a bit like a pantomime with good and bad guys. The UFC however is the complete opposite! Will this have a negative effect on the UFC? I personally don't think so! However if that thought comes to me then I'm sure it will come to other people.

Either way, without Shane McMahon the UFC will continue to grow its numbers worldwide!

Handmade Jewelry Boxes - Make your Own

By Christine Pinkston

Creating something can be quite rewarding. It is very satisfying not only to the part of you that wants to use your creative flair but it also brings a rush of pride looking at something you have made yourself. Especially since you know you could just go to the store and buy it. There is not much that you can not go to the store and buy. From food down to the laces on your shoes. Even though you could go out and buy something it is immensity satisfying to make it your self.

It doesn't have to be super fancy or intricate. For example, lets look at creating your own handmade jewelry boxes. Not only will it be a great place to keep your jewelry safe but it can be made inexpensively and can be a way to show your personality. You can make it anyway you want as well so it will fit in exactly with what you need.

For some reason, many people feel that making handmade jewelry boxes is more trouble then it is worth. However, that is simply not the truth. In fact, making a handmade jewelry box can be quite easy and you can decorate it any way you would like so it will definitely reflect who you are. You can also choose how big you want it to be and how many different compartments you need it to have.

Here is a list of some of the handmade jewelry boxes you can make yourself. However, if you don't have the inclination to make one of your own, you can easily find the perfect handmade jewelry box to buy in today's market.

The most common of the handmade jewelry boxes are made from cardboard. You can buy simple cardboard and make it with any kinds of decorations that you would like. For example you can paint it any colors that are your favorite, add buttons, ribbons, lace, or even stamps. Card board boxes do not cost a lot and they won't take forever to make. If you would like to make a handmade jewelry box for a teen, then making one with a lot of different sections would be great. She will definitely think about you each time she puts her jewelry away.

Some people would rather have a wooden jewelry box. Wood is more durable and lasts longer then cardboard and you actually have more options on how you would like to decorate it. But, if you are going to make a handmade jewelry box out of wood then you must know some basic woodworking skills. If you don't like the idea of a box, then you can even store your jewelry in satin or velvet pouches. The pouches will fit perfectly in your purse and can be a great way to travel with your jewelry. They are very easy to decorate and can be embellished with stones or beads or even crystals and sequins.

Another way to make your handmade jewelry box unique is to use stamps or paints to add your name to it. Or even engrave it or add charms.

Whether you buy it or make it on your own, a handmade jewelry box has a class of its own. It reminds you of your creativity each time you use it. It's also a perfect gift for someone you love since it's a part of you.

Multiple Pay Lines- If you want more than one chance to win then you have to take advantage of the multiple pay line slots. There are several variations out there that range from 3 lines to 200.

Optional Features

Even though all the features above are great, you can find RTG machines that let you win more and allow for more playing time. These include:

- Earning free spins.

- Progressive Jackpots

Some RTG Examples

Probably the only downfall to RTG machines is figuring out which ones you want to play. So here is a short list of slots you may want to try:

- Archilees Slot: offers free spin bonuses up to 25 spins at 3x

- Ronin: higher risk game with random bonus round to earn free spins

- Prince of Sherwood: a fun themed game that offers some unique bonus rounds

We will warn you; the first time you play RTG machines, you won't want to go back to the old ones you were playing. The overall experience can't be explained. Sure we could sit here and boast about them all day, but until you have the opportunity to play them yourself, it just won't be the same.

An Introduction To CFL Canadian Football For The NFL Fan

By Ross Everett

While football in the United States is associated with crisp autumn days and cool nights, in Canada professional football begins in the summer time. While NFL training camps won't open until mid-summer by then the Canadian Football League (CFL) will be well into their regular season schedule.

American football fans may not realize just how long and storied the history of Canadian pro football CFL style actually is. The league has been around since'30 and the Grey Cup championship (essentially the CFL Superbowl) has been in existence since'09. Many NFL stars got their start in the CFL including Doug Flutie, Jim Kelly, and Jeff Garcia.

The CFL is very high level professional football, but there are some significant differences between it and the NFL game:

At the most basic level, the football itself is bigger than the NFL ball. It is longer and fatter than the NFL ball. The CFL goal posts are on the goal line, while the NFLs are on the end line at the back of the endzone. The CFL field is also longer (110 yards) and wider (65 yards vs. the NFLs 53.5 yards), and the CFL end zones are 20 yards deep as opposed to 10 yards in the NFL.

CFL teams are allowed an extra offensive player (a wide receiver), and on defense they're allowed an extra defensive back. This means that 12 players can be on the field at one time as opposed to 11 in the NFL. CFL football also differs in that teams only have three downs to gain ten yards, as opposed to four in US football. The phrase "two and out" is as commonplace in CFL football as is "three and out" in the US game.

A major difference in the scoring is the 'single' which awards CFL teams one point for a kick--usually a punt or missed field goal--that lands in the end zone. This will frequently produce partial game scores of 1-0 or 1-1 that are impossible in the US game.

The rule differences also extend into the front office, where teams are required to have a certain quota of their roster be Canadian born. In an effort to prevent the CFL from becoming an NFL farm system, and to protect the unique identity of Canadian football' of the 40 players on the roster must be natives.

Many US football fans look at the rules that include more players, a wider field, and fewer downs meant to encourage more passing and expect to see a wide open high scoring style of play similar to Arena Football. That's not really how it works out--most games end up with final score totals in the 40's, but the game itself really isn't much more offensively oriented than its American counterpart. The rules may be different, but as in the NFL you need a solid rushing game and a stout defense to win games and championships.

Furthermore, the parity that you see in the NFL where on any given Sunday any team can beat any other team is magnified in the CFL. The primary reason is the rules mandating Canadian native players. I dont think itll offend any Canadians if I suggest that football is played at a higher level in American high schools and colleges. That means that at least 50% of each team is of essentially equal level of talents. Now that may be a bit of an oversimplification"certainly there are differing levels of talent among Canadian players"but the Canadian native rules do serve to further codify the inherent tendency toward parity that you see in most professional sports.

Considering the 21 non- Canadians on the team, its also important to remember that the CFL doesnt get the pick of the litter of American football talent. Certainly those who have the ability are in the NFL, or on an NFL practice or developmental squad. While some players are uniquely suited for the CFL game--former Clemson University QB Nealon Greene, for example, who couldnt make the NFL but has had a lengthy career in Canada--most of the Americans in the CFL are players whose ability just isnt up to NFL levels. Remember Vince McMahon's failed XFL experiment? That gives a good indication of the type of American player that ends up in Canada.

Despite the differences between the CFL and American football, at the end of the day its still high level, professional football. Once you understand the unique aspects of the CFL, it'll become second nature much as NFL viewers quickly assimilate rule changes there.

You wont see CFL news on ESPN, since theyre more interested in featuring spelling bees and lumberjack competitions and letting their personalities like Stuart Scott show how clever they are than covering sports. The good news is that the CFL receives extensive coverage in the Canadian press and all you need to do is visit a couple of websites to stay up to date. Each CFL city has their own sports media, and most have pretty good websites. The best one stop shopping can be found at the leagues own and Slam! Sports, which is roughly the Canadian equivalent of ESPNs website and has extensive CFL news, opinions and statistics.

Progressive Jackpots- Are They Worth Your Time?

Whether you've been to casinos near your residence or even the ones online, we imagine you've come across progressive jackpots at least once. Do you want to know why everyone is so excited about them? Whether or not they're worth your time? Don't worry, we've got a few answers today that will help.

Defining Progressive Jackpots

Understand these types of jackpots are pretty simple. Each time you play, if no one hits the overall jackpot then it progressively gets bigger. Think like how the Mega Millions in the United States gets bigger each drawing if no one wins the ultimate prize. It's pretty much the same thing.

You will usually find that there are several machines linked to one overall jackpot. This allows it to get much bigger at a faster pace. Keep in mind though you are competing with other individuals, which means any of you could end up being the winner.

Why The Hype?

It's safe to say that if you're new to progressive jackpots, you have to wonder about all the hype. After all, there are so many people that love to play them and others who won't play anything else. So what's the big deal?

Basically it just comes down to being able to win so much money in a short period of time. Even if someone else hits it, before long the jackpot will be right back up to an exciting amount. It's an endless growing pattern that anyone would want to have a piece of on or offline.

Then of course the fact that they are associated with gaming machines is just as important. We already know slots are very popular, and the biggest reason is you don't need a special knowledge to play. Best of all, you can find them at any online or offline casino nowadays.

You will also find that in order to win you have to play a certain amount of credits. Sure, you can play the minimum amount, but you will be taken out of the running for any of the progressive jackpots available. Oddly enough, most of the individuals who take this route don't understand they are still contributing to the overall jackpot winnings. So those who are playing the maximum can enjoy better odds.

Another aspect you need to remember is these offer the same odds as a regular machine. You can win just as much money from progressive jackpots, and even more if you hit the big one. So in a sense you get more for you money.

Now, we can't tell you to play progressive jackpots because it will be up to you, but knowing you have a good chance at big payouts is a nice benefit. Then again, if you want to stick to regular slots be our guest.

If you do take this route, make sure you consider everything that comes into play. How many people are playing, the amounts they are gambling each time, and all the other details. It's also important to understand that you have the same odds of playing progressive slots as you do those numbers machines on the other side. Just stick to your strategies and enjoy the chance of winning the big jackpot.
